Liz Nottage
ALM Worship Leading
My role within the Benefice is primarily working with children and families in Fowlmere, where I lead Family Worship once a month at St Mary’s. I also lead Children’s Church on Sunday mornings and co-ordinate the team of helpers who run Messy Church on the first Wednesday of each month.
Sheila Andren
ALM Pastoral Care
As a Pastoral Assistant, I see my role as visiting in their homes or in hospital the elderly, unwell and bereaved of the Benefice. I can bring them friendship, a listening ear and prayer and Holy Communion as appropriate. I am now taking Holy Communion on a Sunday to Addenbrookes Hospital once a month.
Lisa Turner
ALM Administration
My administrative role is across the benefice. During training, I was told that a good administrator just gets things done! My list of roles is potentially endless, and I am very happy for my work to be relatively unnoticed because I aim to support the rest of the work of the churches in our benefice to do what is needed.
Maxine Pymer
Music Ministry
My role is to help co-lead St Mary’s Choir and support Iverna in her role as music Director. It is also to take God’s gifts of music and words using it to enable the congregation to have a better spiritual journey through a service. Music helps to shape and create different moods within worship finally sending out the People of God to witness in the wider community.
Prayer Ministry Team
Prayer Ministry – Healing and Wholeness
We currently hold prayer counselling and prayer ministry on an ad-hoc basis for individuals when needed. In the future we aim to reintroduce regular opportunities for Prayer Ministry both, after regular services in the churches, and at dedicated healing services.
We have a team of Prayer Ministers who are commissioned and their ministry affirmed.
The membership of the team is currently under review.
